Here are some tips and tricks to keep you safe during the power outage on Saturday, December 9th from 7:30am – 4:30pm for National Grid customers. 👉🏼Tonight – charge your electronic devices, stock up on food and water, get gas for your vehicle and generator, check with your pharmacist for guidance on proper storage during an extended outage if you have medication that requires refrigeration. 👉🏼Tomorrow - Keep doors and windows closed, put towels in front of any drafts, layer your clothes to stay warm, put on a hat, huddle under extra blankets, check on your neighbors and older adults. Use gasoline-powered generators with caution. Never run a generator inside a house. Place it outside with exhaust facing away from the home.
