Clinical and public health partners at the local state and federal level are investigating a multi-state emerging public health threat known to be associated with vaping products. There are over 30 reports in NY. Patients have been 15-49 years in age and includes 1 person in the North Country region.

The New York State Smokers’ Quitline is a confidential service for all New York State residents who wish to overcome tobacco use, including e-cigarettes.

In addition, the Quitline encourages teens and young adults (ages 13-24) to text “DROPTHEVAPE” to 88709 to join “This Is Quitting,” a free texting support program for help with quitting vaping.
